I love getting things in the mail. I think it’s the nostalgia. I wish people would write letters more often. This is why I refuse to do a wedding website and require guests to mail back their RSVP cards. I love the old fashioned ways of communication.

Have you ever woke up one morning and realized you’re on the wrong career path? Well, that’s what happened to me today, except I didn’t wake up and realize it. I was right in the middle of it. Going through the day made me realize I just don’t care anymore. I don’t care why people are booking their meeting with me. I don’t care what company they work for. Tell me how many people, how you want it set, and your menu and then be on your way. That’s how I feel about it now. But how do I start over? I’ve dedicated 7 years in the hotel industry. Who’s going to hire me now? Can I go back being an administrative assistant? I’ve worked so hard for that stupid manager status, do I really want to give it up? I don’t know what to do. I’m unhappy in my workplace and I don’t know if I can continue to pretend to care. Mistakes will happen, shit will fall through the cracks. I need to get out before they kick me out.

Year in Review

Here’s what 2012 has meant for me:

- I found out I was pregnant and welcomed my handsome son. I never thought I could love him as much as I love my daughter. I even want to play susie homemaker so I can be there for my kids.

- I became engaged and started planning my wedding.

- My daughter graduated from preschool and was accepted to an amazing private school. Hooray, she’s in kindergarten, starting to read, and lost 3 baby teeth.

- Moved out of my mother ‘s house and gained freedom once again.

I have to say, it’s been a pretty good year. I know 2013 will be eventful as well.

Oh right, and today is my birthday. I’m 25, a quarter of a century old.

Watching “The Baby Wait” and this adoptive couple had a baby shower for twins they want to adopt. Problem is, the couple lives in Kansas and the parents have 30 days after the birth to change their minds. What the hell are they going to do if the parents change their minds? 30 days is a long ass time. I’ve seen people change their minds in less days. Now they’ll have two of everything for no damn reason. Stupid people. I know you gotta be ready but really, a baby shower? That’s just doing too much.
